UrquhartCastle :: RicoConsign Export/Import Store Mover Tool

What is this for?

To more easily move inventory between stores.

Why do I need it?

The EXPORT format is different to the IMPORT format so This utility rewrites an exported inventory file (in CSV format) from RicoConsign, making it suitable for import back into RicoConsign, in a different store or organization.

Instructions

• In Rico, find your inventory and select a group of items to move

Note that you cannot just pick the items and export only those items, but you can use the 'Advanced' search to only show a group of items that match your search term, and export them. The default is to export ALL ITEMS.

Inventory that has ZERO quantity cannot be imported and will cause your import to fail.

• Click on the 'MORE' button and select 'EXPORT'.

  This will create a file like 'Products-2023-05-29 17_21_01.csv'. You can edit this file using a spreadsheet or a text editor to remove items that you do not want to move.

• In this application UrquhartCastle:
  1. Click on 'Choose File' and select the export file you just created.
  2. Click on 'Create Import File'.
  3. When it has completed, download the new file.
  4. In Rico, Change your store, then go to Inventory
  5. Click on 'MORE', then 'Import'.
  6. Select your downloaded file.

• Once the import has completed, you will need to manually remove (Archive) the items from the old store.
